Fiero Wrangler? The new American MG?
So, GM and Chrysler are in talks to merge?

Guess they could lengthen the hood of the Corvette to make room for their acquired Viper's truck V10, and a Hemi Camaro might be interesting for about 5 seconds. But as Jalopnikners point out, soon-to-be-nationalized auto companies didn't work out so well after mergers in the UK.

Speaking of, I spied this curiosity in Harrisburg traffic yesterday. Can you name it? I couldn't for a good 10 minutes, and I can ID a car by its taillights from 1/2 a mile away in a blizzard:

Bankruptcy may not be far for Ford and the otherwise domestics. Which will suck for my job and the jobs of my friends who also work for companies contracting with the Detroit auto industry. As a similarly-affected bandmate pointed out, Chapter 11 allows big companies to ignore their contracts and payments.

And, in case you didn't want to pay $20 for that Supersuckers' show, we got tonight, ...babe:

Its on!

no idea to be honest. All I know is that it has a Chrysler V8 and a fishbowl for a back window.

I was gonna say Jensen. Those are rare as hell here in the US and pretty fucking awesome. I like shooting breaks.

I think the GM/Chrysler talks are BS. But if it isn't -- it's good for my company since GM is on board with our software, but Chrysler isn't. So, it would mean Chrylser's IT systems would have to merge with GM's and that's a pretty big project.

my dad had a Healey, but even those were more common than a Jensen. I thought for sure it was a Volvo 1800 from a distance. Apparently, Jensen made 1800s for Volvo on this platform. Wonder if they made the speakers for Fender amps? GM cannot be so dumb or desperate to even think about breeding with Mopar!?! Would they go with the cheaper suppliers when a merged company cuts dead weight? and isn't that how MG and Rover died?

I was gonna say it was a Datsun of some sort but I've never even heard of a Jensen.

Not a bad guess. Apparently, Jensen built Sunbeams in the UK, which look a lot like those old late 1960's / 70's Datsun roadsters (1800?).

Would not be surprised if there were more than a few of these at the Ypsi Orphan Car Show...which I missed again this year.
